Overnight oats with cinnamon pear sauce, almonds & cocoa



These overnight oats are made with fresh pears from @panierdufermier. The recipe contains cinnamon, fresh ginger and cocoa which are a source of beneficial compounds


Ingredients

Makes 2 portions.

1 cup uncooked instant, steel-cut and rolled oats (1/3 cup each)

1/2 cup pear sauce*

1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk

4 tablespoons chopped almonds

2 heaping tablespoons plain Greek yogurt

Manuka honey (drizzle)

Cocoa powder (sprinkle)

Sliced pears (optional)

Add 1/2 cup of the oats mixture in each mason jar. Add the rest of the ingredients, mix well and refrigerate for a few hours. Enjoy!

*Pear sauce

6 pears (peeled and chopped)

1/4 cup water

1 tablespoon grated ginger

1 teaspoon cinnamon

In a saucepan, bring all the ingredients to a boil. Reduce the heat, mix frequently while simmering for 20 minutes or until the pears are soft. Purée with a hand mixer and let cool before serving. Enjoy!
